We pressure test cylinder heads, cylinder blocks, oil coolers, EGR valves and this process is carried out on a specific pressure testing machine, which enables us to block off all waterways and inject air pressure into one waterway.

It’s then submerged in a tank of water at 75 degrees and rotated 360 degrees, providing the most reliable method of pressure testing.

We will always recommend a pressure test to eliminate the possibility of the unknown, e.g. a cracked head could continue to give the symptom of a head gasket having gone. Therefore, a pressure check can eliminate the issue having to be re-investigated at additional cost at a later date.
